Speaking at the 30^th anniversary of Audi Club of North America, Scott Keogh said they are seriously considering a manual gearbox for the S3. Although a decision has not been taken yet, it's likely the six-speed manual transmission from the European model will be offered in the US-spec version.

Keogh also hinted the highly anticipated RS3 will take the shape of a sedan, as previewed by the A3 clubsport quattro concept from this year's Wörthersee show. So far prototypes of the RS3 have been spotted with the five-door Sportback body style so Audi could decide to offer the model in two flavors. We already know it will be powered by the familiar five-cylinder, 2.5-liter turbo engine which will develop around 360 bhp (268 kW) but a 400 bhp (298 kW) derivative is also being analyzed.
